Windfall West Town

This sent in by a member concerned about West Town and the consequences of this next windfall. I've included their comments but do please check out the details for yourself & make any comments that you wish to directly onto the online Comment facility - and let other residents know about it together with your Councillors! If no-one comments on this or any Application then the assumption is that there are no views by residents. Incidentally it is exactly this kind of windfall that residents - both locally and nationally - have been so vocal against because, cumulatively, these are not factored in to a Local Plan yet their impact on our Infrastructure is, cumulatively, considerable. Furthermore, with such losses - regardless of your own needs-, more local 'industry' or services will leave Hayling necessitating more trips to the mainland.

5-7 Station Road, Hayling Island

Demolition of existing dwelling and business units and construction of a 2/3 storey building to provide 19 flats and 2 commercial units with vehicle and bicycle parking and a bin store.

Looking on the map this is Station Tyres, Car Sales and Car Wash and Bungalow which is right next to the small car park going to the Community Centre.,

What is happening to Station Tyres? This was also proposed in 2008 but didn’t get through.

Does anyone know about this and where Station Tyres are going?
