Havant Borough Lottery winner picks up £2000

One lucky winner has just received an early Christmas present and walked away with £2,000 from the Havant Borough Community Lottery draw on Saturday 8 December.

Mrs Pat Tuffee from Hayling Island matched five numbers in the draw and now joins the list of other winners who have won either money or free lottery tickets.

Pat said; “I'm very pleased to have won such a large amount just before Christmas. I think this is a really good way to raise money for local good causes and I hope this lottery continues to be a great success."

The Havant Borough Community Lottery is an exciting, local, weekly lottery that has so far raised more than £26,000, in the eight months it has been running, for local good causes.

Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 per week per ticket. Each ticket has a one in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000! That’s a better chance of winning than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery!

The next draw takes place at 8.00 pm, Saturday 15 December 2018 and it’s not too late to grab your tickets. Could you be the first lucky winner to walk away with the top prize of £25,000? Tickets can be brought online or by calling 023 9319 0011 and you can nominate which of the good causes that are registered you wish to support.

Councillor Leah Turner, Cabinet Lead for Communities, Development and Housing said “I am delighted to hear that a resident has won £2000 on our lottery especially in the weeks before Christmas.

“With 60% of each Havant Borough Community Lottery ticket price going to the 59 good causes registered, it is lovely to see both our residents and good causes benefiting.

“As an extra idea for a Christmas gift we have just launched the Havant Borough Community Lottery gift voucher. Starting at £5, our gift vouchers give a chance of winning a cash prize whilst helping to raise money for good causes in the borough.”

A full list of the good causes that are benefitting from the Havant Borough Community Lottery can be found at

For further information and to buy your tickets please visit Havant Borough Community Lottery website or call 023 9319 0011. No money from the lottery will be used to subsidise other council services.

Each ticket consists of six numbers and each number will be between zero and nine. There will be a draw every Saturday night when a six-digit winning combination will be picked. Prizes will be given to players with tickets that match the first or last two-six numbers from the winning combination. Match all six and you win the JACKPOT!
