Library Services!

Help Shape Hampshire's Future Library Service! The way people use library services is changing, and we need to make sure our services evolve to meet these needs. At the same time, we are facing an anticipated budget shortfall of £80 million by April 2021. We need to look across all the County Council’s services to find savings which can help to bridge this gap as demands for services rise, particularly in social care. How exactly is the much touted Coastal Pathway, connecting Hayling's coastlines - themselves to be 'let go' or managed retreat - wi

A Fire Risk Assessment, carried out by HBC, resulted in a permanent overnight parking ban 10pm-6am, following the increase in overnight parking of motorhomes often parked too closely together at West Beach: “The island has a number of sites better suited to overnight stays in motorhomes and we would encourage visitors to use these facilities. West Beach car park is situated within a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) and is therefore not permitted to have marked parking bays that would separate distance between parked vehicles. The term ‘motorhomes’ is used for private vehicles with sleeping accommodation, or have been adapted for sleeping in, for the motor taxation class ‘motor car

Local Plan Delays

On behalf of HIRA may I wish readers a very happy, healthy New Year. I hope that you’ll attend our next open Public Meeting on Wednesday February 12th 2020 7:15 for 7:30pm start at the URC, Hollow Lane. Speaker will be Mark Cubbon, Chief Executive of Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. Hear his Presentation and put your own questions for discussion. Regarding our Borough’s Local Plan to 2036, Havant Borough Council gave us the frustrating news very late in 2019 that the Pre-Submission Plan has not yet been presented to the Planning Inspector as we had been told.
