Thank you for contacting us via one of your members.
I am chairperson of Hayling Voluntary Services www.haylingvoluntaryservice.co.uk
For 38 years we have been offering medical transport run entirely by our group of volunteers to take residents of Hayling Island to their Hospital,GPs appointments . Down the years we have taken 5000 residents to their appointments . Since Covid we have noticed a decline in driver/volunteers, perhaps people are feeling it is still a risk using their family cars
We so need to add to our group of available drivers .All expenses are paid, DBS checks completed and full training is given.we know our work better than anyone ,but we cant operate to full capacity without drivers. Our volunteers only have to do as much or as little as they are happy to do. We are a registered charity and no one is paid .
HVS was based for 37 years in the Health Centre ,our medical professionals rely on us to get their patients where they need to go.
We are part of the Good Neighbours Network and have been for over a decade . They are part of the Diocese of Portsmouth ,Southampton and Winchester .
If you can help us advertise we would be so grateful. So far FB appeals,radio appeals, adverts in the Hayling Herald are not having any degree of success.
