HBC Press Release offers residents "Wellbeing Permit":


Parking at the seafront just got cheaper If you enjoy walking at dawn or exercising your dog at dusk why not apply for the new wellbeing parking permit for Hayling seafront, that can be used seven days a week – including bank holidays. The wellbeing permit is available to use in all six of Hayling seafront car parks and is now available to residents across the borough, so everyone can enjoy the seafront at a reduced cost. The yearly permit allows residents to enjoy all the seafront has to offer at off-peak times between 6am-9am and 6pm-10pm for £60 per year – that’s just 16 pence per day - in any seafront car park.Councillor Narinder Bains, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Lead for Community Safety and Transformation, said: “This new permit has been carefully designed to enable residents to enjoy the seafront at off-peak times at an affordable price. "We know that getting out and about in the fresh air is good for physical and mental health, and as a council we are committed to making it easier and cheaper to enjoy our open spaces." Permit allows off peak parking in Beachlands, Bound Lane, Chichester Avenue, Eastoke, Ferry Road and West Beach, Hayling Island. This offer is only open to residents of the borough.
