Flooding & Emergency Issues

HIRA's forthcoming open Public Meeting Thursday 7:30 pm October 19th at Hayling College's Main Hall hosts Presentations by Havant Borough Council Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership on the latest studies concerning flooding and coastal protection issues that affect Hayling Island coasts. We also have two speakers addressing key issues regarding Havant Borough Council's Emergency Draft Plan for Hayling and Community Resilience.

Please bring your written questions to leave at the door on entry so they can be put to the speakers after their presentations. Thereafter questions will be taken from the floor. This Meeting addresses issues that affect us all on the Island and HIRA has organized it so that Islanders have the opportunity to hear the facts and put their concerns. Public Meetings like this are essential to keep everyone informed as well as give residents the chance to express any concerns they may have.

There will be an interesting video of Hayling through postcards playing prior to the Meeting's 7:30 start, so do come along and enjoy it. We will also hold our 2017 AGM which, last year, lasted only about 15 minutes as every member received the necessary documentation in advance.
