The following HIWCF funds are now open, please apply for grants online via http://www.hantscf.org.uk/grants.aspx

The Youth Social Action Fund encourages young people aged between 10 and 20 (up to 25 for disabled young people) to lead change and make a positive contribution to their communities. Social action involves activities such as campaigning, fundraising and volunteering, all of which enable participants to make a positive difference in their local area. Grants of £1,000 -£5,000 are available to groups based in Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton. Deadline 6th August 2017.

The Montagu Neville Durnford and Saint Leo Cawthan Memorial Trust provides grants of £1,000-£5,000 to organisations, with preference to supporting those over 50 years old, particularly with links to the Naval services. Projects focusing on helping those with disabilities or struggling with poverty and disadvantage will be considered, together with those encouraging community development and social inclusion in the Portsmouth area. Deadline 6th August 2017.

The Portsmouth City Community Fund provides grants of £500-£5,000 to support beneficiaries including young people and older people focusing on health and disability, medical research and general community projects in Portsmouth City. There is a small amount available for applications which demonstrate disadvantage and need in the greater Portsmouth area. Deadline 6th August 2017.

Closing in 2 weeks… the Youth Mental Health Fund is available to support charities, community groups, social enterprises and community interest companies with grants of £3,000 to £6,000 covering projects across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton for 5 to 25 year olds supporting mental health, where symptoms include: anxiety, depression, bullying, cyber-bulling, bereavement, substance abuse, stress, alcohol and much more. Deadline 21st July 2017.

OPENING SOON on 10th July - The core principle of the Valuing Hampshire Communities Fund is to improve opportunities for people to maintain or develop their social support networks, increase independence, improve confidence (particularly where there is a long-term condition involved), and to reduce isolation. The fund will offer grants of £1,000 to £5,000 for those aged over 18 in Hampshire.

Further funds will continue to open throughout the year, so please keep an eye on our website http://www.hantscf.org.uk/grants.aspx

Many thanks,

HIWCF Team
